HOUZER relocates stainless steel production plant from China to South Korea

Oct 1, 2012

Hamilton, NJ, Oct 1, 2012 – HOUZER, Inc., a leading U.S. domestic brand of stainless steel sinks, is underway with a strategic relocation of its Chinese manufacturing plant to South Korea, after 10 years in operation. The new enterprise in South Korea is named Neston Company, Ltd., a subsidiary of Houzer, Inc. and is scheduled to start production in early Fall.

Drawn stainless steel sinks are the mainstay of the HOUZER offering, in addition to fabricated steel sinks, hand hammered copper, and granite composite sinks. The company is a B to B and sells through Plumbing Wholesale and Retail distribution serving the U.S. remodel and new construction verticals.

“Our new facility will increase our total production capacity exponentially, and allow for select OEM private label contracts with US-based importers in addition to increased capacities for the HOUZER brand.”, stated Ken Fey, Vice President Sales and Marketing and Chief Operating Officer of HOUZER, Inc.

Fey added, “Our steady growth in the past few years is the result of a thirty five year heritage of quality assurance methods and consistent manufacturing processes married with strategic branding for the U.S. markets. Current supply chain issues affecting Chinese exports as well as a beneficial Free Trade Agreement between the U.S. and South Korea makes this relocation a formidable and unique advantage for us on several fronts. It’s a new level in our evolution as a manufacturer and branded product.”
