With so many brands of sinks available today, what makes HOUZER so special?
HOUZER offers the widest selection of premium-level sinks at moderate prices like no other brand. HOUZER is the result of over thirty years experience manufacturing sinks for many of today’s popular brands. We practically invented the term “Value Engineered.”
I don’t want a lot of waste at my jobsite. Can I get HOUZER sinks without the boxes?
Yes! HOUZER sinks are available individually boxed or “bulk-nested” with between 20 to 40 sinks on a pallet, depending on the model. There’s a substantial savings as well when purchasing in bulk-nested for jobs. This is the preferred method for most jobs that utilize HOUZER products.
How can I get a Specification Sheet?
Every model in the HOUZER line has a downloadable 8 ½” x 11″ PDF Specification Sheet on our website. We also offer a complete Specification Catalog specifically designed for the Professional. Please call us for your request and we will mail it to you immediately.
What’s the best way to get the cutout template for each sink?
If you are using a CNC cutting machine and have CAD software, every HOUZER model has a corresponding DXF Electronic Cutout Template available for download from our website. We also include an “old-school” cardboard template with every sink.
Do HOUZER sinks meet code?
All HOUZER sinks are certified to meet the standard IAPMO, ANSI, and CSA codes required for New Construction or Remodel. See your individual specification for more details.
Why does HOUZER polish even their least expensive drop-in sinks? Everyone else has a matte finish.
HOUZER is a premium-grade offering, so even on our least expensive models we take the time to provide a higher level of finish than other brands.
Aren’t all makes and models made alike?
No. HOUZER uses premium Type 304 Stainless Steel on all models. Chrome increases the hardness and wear-resistance of your sink, and nickel increases the strength and resilience to dents. HOUZER only uses premium 18/8-10 mix (18% chrome and 8-10% nickel); some inferior brands use “Type 300”, which has a higher chance of rusting eventually.
If two brands are made of the same gauge steel, won’t they have the same strength?
Not necessarily. Most HOUZER undermount models have a proprietary design improvement called SpecPlusTM Edge which increases the structural rigidity and strength across the entire span of the sink. This is a key concern especially when the design is a double or triple bowl. SpecPlusTM Edges mean less flex, more strength.
Is undercoating important?
Yes. Proper and well appointed undercoatings will aid in noise reduction, condensation prevention, and maintaining the water temperature when pre-soaking dishes. HOUZER sinks rate in the highest for these benefits.
Do all brands of sinks have sound absorption?
No. HOUZER sinks have sound absorption rubber pads on all models, and fortified with Stoneguard Undercoating on top of the rubber pads on most models. HOUZER sinks are among the quietest sinks available today, fully insulated from the noise of clanging dishes, pots, and pans.
Are HOUZER sinks Warranteed? And for how long?
Yes. All HOUZER sinks are covered by a Lifetime Limited Warranty. Eston series sinks are covered by 5 year limited warranty. All accessories and quartztone series are covered by a 1 year limited warranty.
